Release Notes 5.1.1

What's new in 5.1.1?

Visual Components (VC) 5.1.1 introduces FactoryLens, which enables brand new workflows based on NVIDIA's Omniverse technology.

New features

FactoryLens

The FactoryLens is a new feature, which integrates NVIDIA's Omniverse technology into the Visual Components software suite, allowing users to visualize their layouts via a new high-fidelity rendering viewport.

FactoryLens includes:

  • High fidelity rendering viewport.
  • Video recording and Image export functionality.
  • USD Export.

Limitations:

  • Dynamic geometry updates are currently not supported, e.g. adding or deleting triangles, changing the position of vertexes, texture coordinates or Paint functionality.
  • First time launch may take longer than subsequent launches. This is due to the initial setup of the system.
  • Layout loading times are relative to the number of triangles present in a layout.
  • Point geometry is not supported.
  • Installation requires an internet connection.
